The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada accredits medical residency programs in Canada and reviews foreign programs to help them adhere to the highest standards of higher medical education. The Royal College acknowledges the importance of health care accreditation by requiring that facilities are accredited by Accreditation Canada International in order to host residency programs. In 2010, the Royal College signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Accreditation Canada to collaborate on diverse international projects.

CHA is a leader in developing, and advocating for health policy solutions that meet the needs of Canadians.
