International Recognition (ISQua)
The International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua) is the accrediting body that accredits external health care assessment organizations, their standards, and their surveyor training.
Meeting ISQua standards provides confidence and credibility through formal worldwide recognition that an organization meets recognized international standards specifically developed and tested for health care external evaluation bodies. Through an impartial and independent review system, the accreditation process provides assurance to governments, funders, clients, and the organization itself that its performance, standards, or training programs meet the highest international standards and are continuously improved.
Accreditation Canada has been successfully accredited for its organization, standards and training programs in 1998, 2002, 2006 and 2010. The Qmentum International accreditation program was accredited during the 2010 survey.
ISQua, in partnership with Accreditation Canada, have launched the ISQua Accreditation Research website. It is designed to provide external health care assessment organizations with access to a growing database of accreditation research projects being implemented around the world.
